Weekly Youth Forum/Study Circle

Join us for the weekly Youth Forum/Study Circle every Friday at 7:30pm at the AIYC Youth Center. Topics discussed are relevant to Muslim youth living in Canada. Previous topics have included:

  • Seerah of the Prophet (pbuh) and deriving lessons which are applicable to youth in Canada
  • Lives of the Prophets (peace be upon them all)
  • Tafseer and lessons from the first juz
  • Tafseer and lessons from the 30th juz (current topic)
    Sunday school: 10:00 to 12:30 PM for age 5 to 12
    • Basic of social subjects
    • Basic Arabic language and arts


Every Third Saturday of the month: Family Potluck
  1. Engage the families with social activities and programsConnect with families to understand the parenting challenges of today

  2. Discuss issues that are relevant to youth

  3. Learning from each other’s experiences

  4. Have fun in a very friendly environment

General Knowledge

Weekly Brother's Tajweed and Arabic Grammer Classes
  • Every Saturday morning from 9:30am - 10:30am. Come out and join the brothers in Tajweed. This class is open to all brothers regardless of level of understanding. This flexible class allows brothers to work at their own pace.

Health and Wellness Programs

  • As part of AIYC's Health and Wellness programs and initiatives, there is an outdoor soccer team set up for boys for the 2009 season. The team is part of EDSA's Tier 4 Turner group. The season runs until August 2009. There is typically 1 game and 1 practice per week and the link to the game schedule is posted under the links page.
